1979: Diana Timberlake was inducted in the ETSU Athletic Hall of Fame during Homecoming 1979. Diana was a four-time All-American for ETSU and also competed on the U.S. Shooting Team in the 1970 and 1974 World Shooting Championships helping win a World Team Championship each time. 2002: Gloria Parmentier was inducted in the ETSU Athletic Hall of Fame in April 2002. She was a four-time All-American for ETSU and competed many times for the U.S. Shooting Team including the 1975 Pan American Games, the 1977 Championships of the Americas, the 1982 World Shooting Championships, the 1983 Pan American Games, the 1984 Olympic Games and the 1987 Pan American Games. She won 2 Gold, 4 Silver and 1 Bronze in major UIT/ISSF competitions including placing 4th in the 1984 Olympic Games in Women's Standard Rifle 3x20. She also competed in the CISM Games helping the USA win a Gold Medal. 2020: John Duus was a First Team All-American in both Smallbore Rifle and Air Rifle each of his three years (1980, 1981, 1982). John competed for Norway in the following international competitions: 1978 World Shooting Championships in Seoul, Korea, 1979 European Championships and 1979 Nordic Championships, 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow (boycotted), 1981 Nordic Championships, 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles placing 7th in Smallbore Free Rifle Prone and 11th in Smallbore Free Rifle 3-Positions, 1985 European Championships, 1986 World Shooting Championships in Suhl, East Germany, 1987 European Championships and Nordic Championships. John was the personification of a great student-athlete. He excelled not only in his athletic endeavors, but also in the classroom.
