2025 SASS Maine State Championships 'The Great Maine Gun Fight'
We invite you to join us at the 2025 SASS Maine State Cowboy Action Shooting Championships
The Great Maine Gun Fight (10 stages)
on September 5-6-7, 2025.
Side events (Speed events, Warmup stages, Wild Bunch Match, Long Range, etc.) will be held on Friday. Six (6) main match stages
will be held on Saturday and four (4) main match stages on Sunday.
SASS rules apply. You must be a current SASS member to shoot in the SASS
Maine State Championships.

Speed Events Open: 9:00am to 3:00pm
Accuracy Events Open: 9:00am to 3:00pm
Long Range Events Open: 9:00am to 3:00pm
Wild Bunch: 9:00am (Registration open at 8:30am for Wild Bunch Shooters ONLY!)
Warm Up Mini Match 1st flight: 10:00am
Warm Up Mini Match 2nd flight: 1:00pm
Plainsman Mini Match: 1:00pm
Posse Marshal Walk Through: 4:00pm – Stage 1
Potluck Dinner: 6:00pm
SATURDAY:
Registration Open: 7:00am and closing at 8:30am
Mandatory Safety Meeting: 8:30am
Start Shooting First 6 Stages: 9:00am
Lunch Break After 3rd Stage (Mandatory)
Finish Shooting First 6 Stages
Mounted Golf Cart: Immediately after Finishing 6th Stage
Steak/Lobster Dinner: The Pavilion: 6:00pm
SUNDAY:
Start Shooting Last 4 Stages: 9:00am
Estimated Start Time of Shoot Off: 12:00pm noon
Estimated Time of Awards: 2:00pm or Immediately after the Shoot Off

Cowboy Mini-Match 30 rifle, 30 pistol, 12+ shotgun
Wild Bunch Mini-Match - 30 rifle, 49 pistol, 14 shotgun
Plainsman Mini-Match- 12 rifle, 30 pistol, 12+ shotgun
Dress Code: This is called Cowboy Action Shooting for a reason. We dress in the attire of the Old American West. We do cut greenhorns and tenderfeet some slack, but do the best you can as this is a SASS State Championship. You must wear eye and ear protection.
